During my undergrad degree i landed a job with an environmental consulting company. My job was to live in the wild with eagles to learn about their habits, lifestyles, raise young eagles who lost their parents to hunters, and try to decipher their communication sounds to establish a working vocabulary that could be used by scientists to converse with the eagle population. Due to the fact that i could not fly, even though i contructed wings out of cloth, my contract was eventually cancelled (for those of you who don't know eagles only converse while flying). I tried to ask the eagles why they only talk while flying but like i mentioned, my wings were not yet fully functional. I tried to tell the consulting company that i would be able to fly if i was given the time to develop the skills and techniques but they used some choice words to tell me how much money they had lost investing in my ridiculous project. Needless to say i moved on. The rejection from the consulting company destroyed my confidence and I swore to never think about eagles again. I went into depression for 1.6 years eating only dill pickle pringles, wild turkish game hens and garlic peanut butter milkshakes. I spent most of my time at tracks betting on chetland ponies that never seemed to win. Turns out, i was delusional. I wasn't actully visiting a track but walking to a farm down the road harrassing a farmers Lama's. I found that out one day when farmer politely asked me to stop throwing monopoly money at his lama's. Let me tell you, that was bottom. Rock bottom. Lama's can be pretty mean when they start to ridicule the delusional. But i got back up, worked hard, and decided to become a teacher to lead and guide youth into following their dreams.
That information was actually not true at all. This was actually a halloween costume that I created. I don't really have any art that i've done but I did create this costume which i think is pretty good. It took me a long time to make and i think i still have scars from the hot glue gun. Anyways, thanks for reading, if you ever need an eagle costume you know who to call. Oh, and it turns out this costume is also relevant because i am currently a member of the screeming eagles and I could easily be our mascot if i am ever needed.

Creative writing is where you excel, or is it the shape and cat art? - I am torn. I also am torn if it should be stand-up comedian or teacher where your best talents are....thanks so much for the laughs! And by the way, the garlic peanut butter milkshakes are delicious, especially when you are pregnant....oooh yum, brings back memories!
I think you might be a good competitor to Rick Mercer's rants...

I absolutely love it, once again you have put a smile on my face. Your sense of humor and character is wonderful, I love the fact that you have the ability to amuse others and keep a straight face. Again very creative...thanks for sharing your creativity.

I agree with Bev...I actually thought you were telling a story, you seem to be able to fool me quite often. Hmmm...maybe a little "coyote" in you...LOL

Have a good day,
Deanna
