In a world fraught with conflict and problems its nice to know there is one man to take comfort in; that person being Neil Diamond. It has been argued by scientists and other individuals that are as smart or smarter than scientists that Neil Diamond is the greatest songwriter in american history. I guess that means that Neil Diamond is a musical genious. I mean, he wrote his most popluar song (Sweet Caroline) in an hour, sitting in a hotel; it wasn't even about anyone he knew. It was about a photo he saw of the presidents daughter all jazzed up in cowgirl gear. Thank you Neil, your the man.....I love your music as if it were my own.

I agree with you regarding the argument of being one America's greatest songwriters - he certainly did capture and era but yet his songs are also timeless - Forever in Blue Jeans Babe!
